These Terms apply to sbiitm.in and the online services operated by Shri Bhagirath Institute of IT & Management (“SBIITM”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing the website or submitting information through it, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Please read these Terms carefully before using our website, enquiry forms, registration facilities, student or staff login, certificate verification, downloads or other online services. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or submit personal information through it.
2. Educational and Website Services
SBIITM is a computer education and management training institute. The website may provide information about courses, admissions, fees, facilities, examinations, events, notices, results, certificates, career guidance and related educational services.
Website information is intended for general guidance. Final admission, eligibility, schedule, syllabus, examination, certification and fee details are governed by the applicable written admission documents, prospectus, institute notice, university/examination body rules or government directions.
3. Eligibility and Minors
You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms. A student below 18 years of age should use registration, admission or account services with the knowledge and consent of a parent or lawful guardian. The parent or guardian is responsible for reviewing the submitted details and applicable course conditions.
4. Enquiry, Registration and Submitted Information
- You must provide information that is accurate, current and complete.
- You must not submit another person’s information or documents without lawful authority or consent.
- SBIITM may request supporting documents to verify identity, eligibility, qualification, payment or student records.
- Submission of an online form does not by itself guarantee admission, seat availability, scholarship, examination eligibility, employment or certification.
- We may reject or cancel a registration containing false, misleading, duplicate, unlawful or unverifiable information.
5. Fees, Payments, Cancellations and Refunds
Course fees, registration charges, examination fees, university fees and other charges will be communicated for the relevant programme. A payment is treated as received only after successful confirmation by SBIITM or its authorised payment provider.
Cancellation and refund eligibility, if any, will be governed by the written refund policy, admission form, fee receipt, course-specific conditions and applicable law. Fees paid to a university, examination body, certification body or other third party may be non-refundable where that third party’s rules so provide.
Students should keep official receipts and immediately report any payment discrepancy to SBIITM.
6. Courses, Attendance, Examinations and Certification
- Course content, faculty, batch timing, examination date, mode of delivery and venue may change for academic, administrative, regulatory or operational reasons.
- Students must meet attendance, assignment, practical, conduct, fee and examination requirements communicated for their programme.
- Certification may depend on successful completion and on the rules of an affiliating university, examination body, government department or certification authority.
- Placement, internship, salary or employment references are opportunities or assistance only and are not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed in a signed written agreement.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or misleading activity;
- attempt unauthorised access to accounts, databases, servers, examination systems or restricted pages;
- upload malware, harmful code, forged documents or content that violates another person’s rights;
- scrape, copy, reproduce or commercially exploit website content without written permission;
- interfere with website security, availability, certificate verification or other users’ access.
8. Login Accounts and Password Security
Where an account is issued, you are responsible for keeping your user ID, password and OTP confidential. You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. Activity performed through your account may be treated as authorised by you unless you reported the compromise without unreasonable delay.
9. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the website design, text, institute name, logo, course material, graphics, photographs, videos, software, databases and downloadable content are owned by or licensed to SBIITM. You may view or download materials only for personal educational use where permitted. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
10. Certificate and Student Record Verification
Online certificate verification is provided as a convenience and depends on the information available in our records. A successful online result does not replace an original certificate, marksheet or written verification issued by the competent authority. We may correct, update, suspend or remove a record when an error, fraud concern or official instruction is identified.
11. Affiliations, Universities and Third-Party Services
References to universities, examination bodies, government schemes, technology providers, social media platforms or other organisations do not imply ownership or control by SBIITM. Their names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their services, rules, websites and privacy practices are governed by their own terms.
12. Website Availability and Disclaimer
We try to keep website information accurate and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation or that every notice is immediately updated online. Important academic or payment decisions should be confirmed directly with the institute.
To the extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis without warranties not expressly stated in writing.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, SBIITM will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from website downtime, user error, unauthorised account use, third-party services or reliance on outdated information. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Suspension or Termination
We may restrict or suspend access to an account or service where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, suspected fraud, non-payment, misconduct, breach of these Terms or compliance with law or an official direction.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when our services, technology or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after publication means you accept the revised Terms, subject to applicable law.
